Otoplasty (Ear Surgery)
Otoplasty is a popular elective surgery to improve the shape, proportion and position of the outer ear, and is usually performed to set back prominent or protruding ears. It is typically done on children between the ages of four and fourteen, but it can be performed on patients of any age.
During the procedure, the surgeon may make incisions on the back and inner creases of your ears, before removing excess cartilage and skin. They will then fold the cartilage into the desired position, then secure the cartilage and close incisions with stitches.
