Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) Financing
Abdominoplasty, commonly referred to as a tummy tuck, is a surgical cosmetic procedure performed to flatten the abdomen by removing excess fat and skin, while tightening the muscles in the abdominal wall. It is commonly performed on patients who were formerly obese and still have excess fat or loose skin in the abdonminal area, as well as on new mothers to tighten up the appearance of the stomach after giving birth.
A complete abdominoplasty involves the surgeon making an incision from hip to hip just above the pubic area, and a second incision separating the navel from surrounding tissue. Surrounding muscles are then stitched together more tightly, the flap is moved back into place and restitched into place, and excess skin is trimmed away. Partial and mini abdominoplasty procedures involve making smaller incisions, separating and stretching the skin between the incision and navel, trimming away the excess, and stitching it back into place.
