Hair Replacement
Hair replacement procedures often consist of moving hair from “donor areas” on the back and/or sides of the scalp where hair is permanent, to “recipient areas” on the front, top or crown of the scalp where hair is thinning or bald. Once moved, the hair, and your confidence, will continue to grow for a lifetime.
Hair specialists will use any of several techniques to fill in balding areas. Surgical hair replacement techniques such as punch grafts, mini-grafts, micro-grafts, slit grafts and strip grafts are easier to perform, but will result in a more modest change in hair fullness. Flaps, tissue expansion and scalp reductions can be used if you desire a more dramatic change.
