Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing turns back the effects of aging or too much time in the sun, leaving you with healthier, younger-looking skin. Your doctor or dermatologist uses laser light to target and remove uneven pigmentation, wrinkles, scars, roscacea, age spots and even some visible veins for your arms, hands, legs, chest and face.
Most commonly, your doctor will use an ablative laser to precisely remove the outer layer of skin, while heating the underlying layer to stimulate the growth of collagen fibres. As the treated area heals, your skin regrows looking smoother, tighter and more youthful. Types of ablative treatments include carbon dioxide (CO2) or erbium lasers, or a combination system.
