Laser Facial Resurfacing
Laser facial resurfacing is a method of turning back the effects of acne, aging, or too much time in the sun, leaving you with more youthful, healthier looking skin. It can be a great way of removing fine lines and wrinkles, as well as birthmarks, moles and small scars.
During laser facial resurfacing, your surgeon will use a laser to precisely remove layers of skin. You may have areas around your eyes, mouth or forehead treated individually, or your surgeon can treat your entire face at once. As the skin grows back, the new skin cells that form give a tighter, more healthy looking surface. Because of this, the procedure is sometimes called a laser peel. It is done right in the surgeon’s office, meaning there won’t be the need to stay overnight.
