Non-Surgical Body Contouring

Body contouring or sculpting procedures are used to destroy and filter out unwanted fat cells, helping to reshape areas such as upper arms, abdomen, love handles and thighs. Less drastic than liposuction or other surgical cosmetic procedures, non-surgical body contouring uses cold, heat, radiofrequency or injectable-based treatments to target smaller areas of fat that are more resistant to traditional diet and exercise

Cryolipolysis

Cryolipolysis, often known as CoolSculpting®, is a non-invasive procedure which involves cooling small amounts of fat in the thighs, lower back, belly and sides to a freezing temperature, which freezes and ultimately eliminates fat cells. While not as effective a treatment for obesity, cryolipolysis can help reduce stubborn fat not easily shed by normal diet and exercise.

Laser Lipolysis

Laser lipolysis is a minimally-invasive procedure which uses laser energy to help eliminate fat and change the shape and appearance of the abdomen, thighs, buttocks and hips. During the procedure your surgeon will make a tiny incision in the area to be treated, then insert a laser under the top layer of skin. Fat deposits in the area are broken up, then vacuumed or massaged out, depending on how much melted fat needs to be removed.

Radiofrequency Lipolysis

Radiofrequency lipolysis roks much like a combination of cryolipolysis and laser lipolysis. An paddle-like instrument is held against the skin in the area your physician is targeting, and transfers heat via radio waves through the dermis and down to the muscle layer. Fat cells are heated just enough to eliminate them without damaging the surrounding skin and muscle layers, and are eventually evacuated from the body over several weeks.

Injectable Lipolysis

Injectable lipolysis uses a chemical injection to reduce fat cells, particularly in applications underneath the chin to reduce the look of “double-chin”. A synthetic version of a chemical called deoxycholic acid is injected into the area of treatment, which causes fat cell disruption and eventually death of the fat cells. As with other types of lipolysis, the results are not immediate, but are noticeable over several weeks as the body evacuates the dead cells
