Permanent makeup is a great option for those who don't like to apply regular makeup, or are allergic to it. Permanent makeup can also cover skin disorders, and mimic the look of eyeliner, lip liner, eyebrow pencil or even lipstick.

Permanent makeup or cosmetics use a procedure called micropigmentation, which is similar to tattooing. A trained nurse or dermatologist will use a specialized tattoo machine to permanently insert ink into the dermis layer of the skin. You can choose from a wide range of shades of ink, or even have a new shade created just for you. While some permanent makeup can last for years, it may fade over time and require a touch-up.
