Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
This procedure flattens the abdominal area by removing excess fat and skin, and then stretching and tightening the muscles of the abdominal wall.
Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
A surgery to correct drooping eyelids and puffy 'bags' under eyes by removing sagging skin, fat and muscle to restore a youthful appearance. This can be done on upper and lower eyelids at the same time.
Brachioplasty (Upper Arm Tuck)
This procedure lifts and tightens the skin in the upper arm area, and can also reduce the size of the folds of skin in the upper chest area near the armpits.
For women who feel their breasts are out of proportion with the rest of their body, implants can create a shapelier, fuller figure and can also provide an emotional lift. In Canada, these implants are filled with a safe, saline solution.
A procedure designed to remove skin and fat from the buttocks area. By tightening the skin here, surgeons can reshape it for a slimmer, more attractive appearance. Liposuction is often used here to remove fat as it causes very little scarring.
The use of implants to reshape and define the chin area. Incisions are done inside the mouth so there is no visible scarring.
Through facial implants, a surgeon can 'resculpt' a patient's face to create a desired look. This can correct a receding chin, make cheekbones look fuller and enhance the jaw line, and is sometimes done in conjunction with a facelift.
Also known as a browlift, this procedure removes sagging skin (caused by aging) on the forehead, which lifts drooping eyebrows, and smoothes out "furrows" and frown lines.
Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction)
A method of eliminating excessive breast tissue and developing a firmer, flatter chest for men. Fat tissue can be surgically removed through an incision under the nipple. Liposuction is often used in this procedure.
Liposuction is NOT a means of weight loss. It is done to remove fatty deposits and improve body contour. Commonly used on thighs, tummy, buttocks and upper arms. A thin tube is inserted to break up fatty tissue and suck it out. A newer type of liposuction uses ultrasound to liquefy fat.
Otoplasty (Ear Surgery)
A surgical technique for correcting protruding ears. This procedure 'pins' ears back closer to the head, and is often done on children from 4 to 14 years old.
A face lift tightens aging skin in the face and neck, resulting in smoother skin and the restoration of a more youthful appearance. Excess skin is removed and wrinkles disappear. Face-lifts are frequently done in conjunction with other facial surgeries.
Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)
A surgeon can 'sculpt' a nose according to the patient's desire. This can either reduce or increase nose size, can remove bumps on the bridge of a nose or narrow flared nostrils. For some it can improve breathing.
A thigh lift tightens and removes loose and sagging skin in upper leg area. This procedure is most often done following significant weight loss.
